Erin Sparrow

Bio

Dr Erin Sparrow is a public health expert with 18 years of experience at the World Health Organization (WHO), specializing in infectious diseases and vaccine development. She is a Technical Officer in the Product and Delivery Research unit within WHO’s Department of Immunization, Vaccines, and Biologicals, where she works to advance the development and policy readiness of priority immunization products and innovative technologies.
Since 2017, Erin has played a key role in developing WHO guidance on RSV, coordinating evidence generation in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and engaging with stakeholders to inform policy decisions on RSV immunization. More recently, she has led efforts to coordinate WHO’s global policy recommendations for RSV infant immunization through the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE).
